Alex manages the development, delivery and monitoring of UKCDS communications to promote and raise awareness of development sciences in the UK. He works with the secretariat and members to ensure that UKCDS shares knowledge and best practice within the international development community, placing the collaborative as an up-to-date source for news, funding, events, jobs and publications about international development.

Alex has a degree in Biological Sciences from Oxford University and an MSc in Science Communication from Imperial College London, where he specialised in the public communication of UK animal research. Prior to joining UKCDS, he worked at various science media and communication organisations and most recently as a Policy Advisor at the Government Office for Science.
