Tom Timberlake

A Pollination Ecology PhD researcher from Bristol University, Tom is currently on a three month secondment with UKCDS, working as a Pollination and International Development Researcher. He is running a project which will investigate the diverse ways in which pollination science can inform international development work, mapping the extent of work being done in this field and highlighting the importance of pollination in addressing the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.

Through an international webinar, the project will bring together a range of stakeholders, including university academics, research institutes, development NGOs, funding bodies and multilateral organisations. By fostering dialog and collaboration between them, we hope to improve the coordination, coverage and flow of information in this field, and identify research gaps and capacity-building needs to promote optimum impact in international development.
