Ecumenopolis Researching And Representing Contemporary and Future Urbanism

21 August - 01 September 2017
Vienna, Austria
This course aims to provide experimental alternatives to traditional urban research methodologies and understanding, by bridging the gap between urban/spatial practice and art. You will be introduced to notions of contemporary global urbanism, as well as with tools to develop independent urban research, and how to represent findings through video art. During this school you will be equipped with a nuanced and deep understanding of current urbanism trends from all around the globe and urban theory. Learn to develop the ability to express well-structured original urban research through video, both filmed with phones and found footage, and edited with widely available software.
