MRC Strategic Plan: Research Changes Lives

The MRC has recently published it’s refreshment of the Strategic Plan: Research Changes Lives 2014-2019, this can be found on their website.

Research Changes Lives 2014 - 2019 continues MRC’s strategic direction, building on their strengths and achievements and taking account of new scientific opportunities to secure tangible impact from MRC research. As they enter their second century they set out how support of excellent discovery science and effective partnerships to promote translation will accelerate the pace of improvements in health and stimulate economic growth.

The new strategy seeks to provide clarity on MRC’s priorities will provide the framework for spending review bids to Government, facilitate active partnerships with universities, institutes and units, provide clear pathways for engagement with medical research charities, industry, NIHR/UK health departments, the Research Councils, and international agencies and communicate MRC's vision for addressing health and wealth to the public.
